During law school summers, Monte worked for the Indian Law Project at Nevada Legal Services and Earthjustice.  After graduating in 2024, Monte clerked for Justice Beth Baker on the Montana Supreme Court.

Monte grew up in Paradise Valley, south of Livingston, Montana and joined Spoon Thompson in October 2025.

Outside of work, Monte loves to read fiction, train for trail races, and cook new recipes.
