Megan E. Wampler

Megan grew up in Helena, Montana, before heading to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, for her undergraduate education. Later, Megan pursued and obtained both her J.D. and Masters of Public Administration (MPA) from the University of Montana in Missoula. During her time in law school, she was a member of the National Moot Court competition team and was awarded the Order of Barristers in recognition of her strong Moot Court performance. She also interned for a personal injury and criminal defense firm, and worked as in-house counsel for the University of Montana for her clinical experience.

Personal Information
After law school, Megan spent two years at Browning, Kaleczyc, Berry, & Hoven, P.C., immersed in civil litigation in both state and federal court primarily representing businesses and healthcare providers before joining Spoon Thompson. Her strong STEM background makes her an effective advocate for healthcare providers both in medical negligence cases as well as licensing matters. She has trial experience in multiple courts, including representing landlords in eviction matters and representing a healthcare facility in a medical malpractice trial that concluded with a 12-0 unanimous jury defense verdict. Megan also appears before various professional licensing boards from the Board of Plumbers to the Board of Medical Examiners at the Department of Labor and Industry, as well as multiple cases in front of the Montana Supreme Court and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
When Megan isn’t practicing law, she and her fiancé can usually be found outside hiking, biking, skiing, or camping, or working on endless home improvement projects.
